To check your microphone, connect it to any other device. And if it doesn’t work on another device, your microphone is physically damaged. You can get it checked by a professional or replace your microphone.

Don’t only check the microphone for physical damage. But, also check your PC or laptop. Many times damaged microphone insertion ports can cause the problem.

Solution 11. Call Your Repair Guy

When nothing works by far, you are only left with one option — call your repair guy. Take your laptop and microphone devices to the repair shop to get them checked thoroughly.

Professionals can open up your laptop and microphone to check internal damages. In addition, you can replace your devices for better performance if your devices are under warranty.
